On Thursday, 27th February 2025, it was the turn of the years 5 and 6 for the Inter Primary School Cross Country Event organised by ActivePlay Education and hosted by Ely College on a cold and windy day.
137 boys and girls from Fordham Church of England Primary School, The Isle of Ely Primary School, The Lantern Community Primary, Little Thetford Church of England Primary School, Millfield Primary School, Robert Arkenstall Primary School and The Rackham Church of England Primary School, took part in the year 5&6 cross country event held at Ely College.
Boys and girls from each year group raced against each other over a course of approximately 2000m. 18 Young Leaders from Ely College helped lead and direct the kids around the course, hand out final placings and help with the scoring.
The results were as follows:
Yr 5 Girls – Winners Fordham, 2nd place Robert Arkenstall, 3rd place Isle of Ely
Yr 5 Boys – Winners Fordham, 2nd Place Little Thetford, 3rd place The Lantern
Yr 6 Girls – Winners and 2nd place Fordham, 3rd place Robert Arkenstall
Yr 6 Boys – Winners & 2nd place Fordham, 3rd place The Lantern
The overall winning school on points was Fordham with Robert Arkenstall in 2nd place and The Lantern in 3rd place
