Over the past 24 months, The Malcolm Whales Foundation (TMWF) has worked tirelessly to bring its most ambitious project to life: Malcolm’s Retreat, a beautiful lakeside lodge in Pidley, Cambridgeshire, just a 40-minute drive from Ely. Completed in November 2024, this milestone is the largest project TMWF has ever undertaken and promises to deliver its most significant direct impact to date.
Community Fundraising at Its Best
The completion of Malcolm’s Retreat has only been possible thanks to the incredible efforts of the community. The funds have come from:
- The Annual Dorset Walk, now in its 17th year
- A variety of amazing events, including netball tournaments, marathons, pool and golf competitions
- Generous financial donations, free materials, and countless hours of volunteered time
A huge thank you to the Ely students, families, and local businesses who have supported TMWF’s fundraising events over the years. Your efforts and generosity have been truly inspiring and have made this project a reality.
